In 2009, the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommended that acupuncture should be made available on the NHS, as a cost-effective short-term treatment for the management of early, persistent non-specific lower back pain.
As well as back pain, acupuncture has proven to be effective for a wide range of conditions. However, due to Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) guidelines, we are currently restricted in listing the many conditions that can be helped by acupuncture. The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) has compiled unbiased and accurate general information on a variety of conditions in the form of factsheets. If you would like to find out more about Traditional Acupuncture and its effectiveness for certain conditions, please click on the links below to view the factsheets from The British Acupuncture Council:
Alternatively you may wish to contact us directly to discuss your condition either in person at the clinic or on the phone.
You would be surprised at how many conditions can benefit from acupuncture!
